Mullion intercom with 5 MP video

The Axis I8116-E is a mullion-form network video intercom that captures 5 MP video with audio. It supports SIP for integration with VoIP systems and includes built-in cybersecurity features. Analytics based on deep learning are supported on the device. The unit weighs 0.5000 and is finished in black.

Suits entry points needing a slim SIP intercom

This model suits door stations and gates where a narrow mullion profile is required and SIP-based audio or video calling is used. Buyers who need a wider field of view or higher resolution than 5 MP should look at other models. Installations without network infrastructure or SIP servers cannot use the core features. The deep-learning analytics require compatible management software.

SIP and analytics change how the unit integrates

SIP support lets the intercom register directly with a PBX or VMS for call routing and recording without extra hardware. Deep-learning analytics enable on-device detection such as person or vehicle classification to reduce false alarms. Built-in cybersecurity features include signed firmware and secure boot to protect the device from tampering. The mullion form factor simplifies mounting on narrow frames.

Questions about this item

What network infrastructure must already be in place for the Axis I8116-E to operate?

The intercom requires a powered Ethernet connection and a SIP-capable server or PBX to handle call signalling and video streaming.

Will the I8116-E integrate with an existing analogue door station that I want to keep?

No — the unit is a pure IP endpoint, so it cannot connect directly to legacy analogue wiring or controllers.

How can I confirm the 5 MP video and deep-learning analytics are active after installation?

Log into the device web page, check the video settings for the 5 MP resolution profile, and verify that the analytics metadata stream is enabled in the event configuration.
