Ready-to-use FRS two-way radio pair

The Baofeng F22 ships as a two-pack of licence-free FRS handsets, each with a 1400 mAh lithium-ion cell and a Type-C charging port. They operate on 22 FRS channels between 462 and 467 MHz and include 12 NOAA weather channels plus a weather-alert alarm. The set is aimed at families, campers and outdoor groups who want simple push-to-talk communication without a licence.

Check your group’s radio setup first

All users must stay on the same channel and privacy code to talk; the radios offer 50 CTCSS and 105 DCS codes for a total of 155 combinations. Verify that any existing FRS handsets you own support matching codes. The 2-pin Kenwood headset jack accepts compatible earpieces for hands-free VOX use. Range reaches up to 3 miles in open terrain and drops with buildings or foliage.

Water-resistant build with everyday charging

The housing is rated water resistant and designed to survive drops and rain during hikes or job-site work. A 1400 mAh pack per unit provides long standby and charges via any USB Type-C source such as a power bank, laptop or vehicle port. A backlit LCD, keypad lock, low-battery alert and eight call tones round out the daily feature set.

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The package includes two radios, two 1400 mAh lithium-ion batteries, and one box measuring 8.3058 x 11.6078 x 18.9992 cm; a Kenwood-compatible headset plugs into the 2-pin jack but is not included.

Which version or capacity should I choose?

This is a single 2-pack of the F22 model with 1400 mAh batteries and 22 FRS channels; no other capacity or channel-count variants are listed.

What does the 3-mile range mean in real use?

The 3-mile figure applies only in open areas; buildings, terrain and weather will reduce the working distance, and the radio operates on 462-467 MHz FRS frequencies.
