Portable AM FM SW Radio with Dual Power

The PRONLY PR-1012 is a compact portable radio covering AM, FM and shortwave bands for listeners who want a single device for local stations and long-range broadcasts. It runs on four AA batteries or any DC 5V USB source so it works off-grid or at a mains outlet.

Suits kitchens workshops and outdoor trips

Buyers who need Bluetooth streaming or a rechargeable internal battery should look elsewhere. The analogue tuning knobs appeal to users who prefer tactile controls over digital menus.

Room-filling speaker with telescopic antenna

The large front speaker and wide grille deliver clear voice and music across a typical room or patio. Reception holds up well on strong local signals but weak shortwave stations may need repositioning of the extendable antenna.

Questions about this item

Will the PR-1012 run on my existing USB-C power bank without batteries?

Yes, the radio accepts any standard DC 5V USB source via its USB port, so a USB-C power bank with a USB-A output cable will power it continuously.

Can I still pick up my usual AM talk stations if I keep the telescopic antenna collapsed?

The telescopic antenna extends for stronger AM and SW pickup; collapsing it may weaken distant stations but local AM talk radio often remains audible.

How do I confirm the shortwave band is actually receiving after I tune a frequency?

You will hear the station audio through the large front speaker and see the dial pointer align with the SW scale on the front panel.
