Belkin Cat 5E 25 ft Ethernet Cable

This Belkin Cat 5E patch cable provides a wired Ethernet link for computers, routers, switches and other network devices. The 25 ft length suits home offices, small business desks or temporary cross-room runs where a reliable copper connection is preferred over wireless.

Snagless RJ-45 Connectors and Strain Relief

Moulded boots with snagless tabs protect the RJ-45 plugs from catching during routing or removal. A built-in strain relief stops the cable bending sharply at the connector, reducing stress on the termination point and helping the link stay solid after repeated moves.

Replaces Shorter or Damaged Cat 5 Cables

Use this cable when an existing Cat 5 link limits throughput or a worn patch lead causes intermittent drops. The step up is worth it for gigabit-rated runs that need the extra headroom Cat 5E specifies, while builders who require shielded pairs or longer permanent installs should look at other cable types.

Questions about this item

What speeds does the Cat 5E rating support on this cable?

The Cat 5E rating supports Gigabit Ethernet up to 1 Gbps over the full 25 ft length.

Will the snagless boots on the RJ-45 plugs fit through a standard keystone jack?

Yes, the molded snagless boots are sized for standard RJ-45 ports and keystone cutouts.

How do I seat the connectors without damaging the strain relief?

Push each RJ-45 plug straight in until the tab clicks; do not rock the boot or bend the cable sharply at the moulded strain relief.
