Cat 6 patch cable for Gigabit Ethernet

This Belkin A3L980-02-GRN-S is a Category 6 UTP patch cable designed to replace older Cat 5 links that cannot support 100 Base-T or Gigabit Ethernet speeds. It suits home and office users who need a short, reliable copper connection between a router, switch or wall jack and a desktop, laptop or NAS.

Verify connector type and required reach

Confirm that both endpoints use standard RJ45 ports before ordering. The cable measures 2 ft end to end, so ensure the distance between your devices fits this fixed length; it cannot be extended or coiled without adding strain.

Snagless moulded boots protect the tabs

The snagless moulded strain relief covers the connector latches, preventing them from catching on adjacent cables or breaking off during routine moves. This keeps the link stable in dense patch panels or tight desk runs where unplugging happens often.

Questions about this item

Does the cable come with connectors already attached or do I need to crimp my own?

The cable has RJ45 male-to-male connectors pre-installed with snagless molded strain relief so it is ready to plug in.

Is the 2 ft length the only option or are longer versions available?

This model is a 2 ft patch cable; other lengths would carry different part numbers.

Will this Cat 6 cable actually run at Gigabit speeds on my router?

It is rated for 100 Base-T and Gigabit Ethernet, so it supports full Gigabit throughput when connected to compatible ports.
