Belkin 14 ft CAT6 patch cable

This Belkin A3L980-14-BLU is a 14 ft CAT6 patch cable designed to replace older CAT5 cables that do not support 100Base-T or Gigabit Ethernet. It improves return loss in the current network by 40 percent and uses 50-micron gold-plated connectors. The cable meets category 6 performance requirements for reliable wired connections.

Home and office network upgrades

It suits anyone upgrading a wired network where CAT5 cables are limiting speed or signal quality. Buyers who need a different cable length or a different category rating should look at other options.

Questions about this item

What comes with the 14 ft Cat6 cable and do I need extra connectors?

The cable is supplied as a single 14 ft length with moulded plugs on each end; nothing else is required for a standard wired connection.

How do I decide between the available lengths or categories for this model?

This part number specifies a 14 ft Cat6 patch cable in blue; choose it when you need that exact reach and category.

What does the 40 percent return-loss improvement mean for my Gigabit Ethernet link?

The 40 percent lower return loss reduces signal reflections, helping the 100Base-T and Gigabit Ethernet connection stay stable over the 14 ft run.
