Belkin A7L704-1000 Cat 6 Network Ethernet Cable 1000 ft

Category 6 Horizontal Cable

This 1000-foot Category 6 horizontal cable connects network outlets to patch panels in Local Area Networks. It exceeds the latest Category 6 draft specifications and supports Gigabit Ethernet performance. The construction uses eight solid 24 AWG conductors with a separator between the four twisted pairs for reliable signal integrity.

Unshielded Bulk Installers

Installers pulling cable through walls, ceilings or conduit for structured wiring projects will find this bulk reel suitable. The solid conductors and pair separator simplify termination onto keystone jacks and patch panels. Buyers who need shielded cable for high-interference environments or pre-terminated patch cords for short connections should look elsewhere.

Solid 24 AWG Conductors

The decisive specification is the eight solid 24 AWG wires arranged as four separated pairs. Solid conductors are required for horizontal runs and punch-down terminations, unlike stranded wire which suits patch cords. Verify that your installation standard calls for unshielded Category 6 horizontal cable before purchasing this reel.
