A secure 4-port USB KVM switch supporting 1920x1440 resolution with NIAP Common Criteria EAL 4 validation
The Belkin F1DN104U is a 4-port USB KVM switch validated to NIAP Common Criteria EAL 4. It lets one operator control four separate computers from a single keyboard, mouse and monitor while keeping each system isolated at different security levels. Non-reprogrammable firmware and the absence of hot keys or OSD prevent data from being stored on the switch itself.
Standard KVM switches lack the security certification and tamper-resistant design required for environments handling classified or sensitive data. The jump is worth it when procurement mandates NIAP validation or when switching between networks of differing classification without risk of cross-domain data leakage. Rugged metal construction also suits 1U rack or desktop placement.
The single monitor port uses a D-Sub connector, restricting output to analogue VGA signals up to 1920x1440 at 75Hz. Digital interfaces such as DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort are not supported, so modern displays require an active adapter. USB peripheral switching is confined to keyboard and mouse; other USB devices cannot be shared through the switch.

| Switching method | Push Buttons/OSD |
The switch uses a D-Sub (VGA) connector for its single monitor connection, supporting resolutions up to 1920 x 1440 at 75Hz.
Switch using the front-panel push buttons; there are no hotkeys or OSD menus, so pressing keyboard combinations will not change the active port.
The firmware is non-reprogrammable by design to prevent tampering, so no updates are needed, and the unit has no internal battery to replace.
