400W Low Voltage Landscape Transformer
This transformer converts 120V AC to 12/14V AC for LED and halogen landscape lighting. It provides dual-zone independent control with a detachable photocell sensor on a 6-foot cord. The unit is ETL listed and designed for weatherproof outdoor use. Total connected load across both zones must not exceed 80% of the rated power.
80% Load Limit and Photocell Range
The combined power draw of both zones cannot surpass 80% of the transformer capacity to ensure stable operation. The included photocell sensor connects via a fixed 6-foot cord that limits placement distance from the unit. Five operating modes rely on this sensor for dusk-to-dawn or countdown timing functions. Circuit protection disconnects output during abnormalities.
Dual-Zone Independent Control
Two separate output zones allow different lighting schedules to run simultaneously from one transformer. Each zone is programmed individually using dedicated buttons on the unit. This suits installations needing distinct areas on separate timers. Buyers needing more than two independently timed zones cannot expand this transformer.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the 12 V or 14 V tap for my LED path lights?
Use the 12 V tap for standard LED fixtures; the 14 V tap compensates for voltage drop on longer cable runs.
What does the 400 W rating mean when I connect two zones of spotlights?
The 400 W is the transformer's maximum capacity; the manufacturer advises keeping the combined load of both zones at or below 80 % of that rating.
How does the 120 V AC input and ETL listing affect installation on my patio?
Plug the unit into a standard 120 V outdoor receptacle; the ETL mark confirms it meets North American safety standards for wet locations.
