50-Metre OM4 Multimode Fibre Cable

This 50-metre OM4 multimode duplex cable uses 50/125-micron Corning glass cores with ceramic ferrules to deliver reliable 40 Gb data transmission. The PVC jacket protects the fibre in standard indoor installations. It is suited for network builders who need a ready-made link between LC-equipped switches, transceivers or patch panels.

Replaces Shorter or Lower-Grade Patch Leads

The jump is worth it when existing cables cannot span the required distance or when older OM3 links limit bandwidth headroom for 40 Gb Ethernet or Fibre Channel. Buyers who need single-mode reach or a different connector polish such as APC should look elsewhere because this cable is multimode UPC only.

Simple LC-to-LC Plug-In Installation

Both ends carry pre-terminated LC/UPC connectors so no field polishing or epoxy work is required. The main risk is contaminating the ferrule end-faces during handling; always clean with a lint-free wipe and inspector before mating. Exceeding the minimum bend radius of the PVC jacket can also degrade performance.
