Outdoor Wireless Access Point

The BFKK OmniTIK 5 PoE ac is a weatherproof outdoor access point with five Gigabit Ethernet ports and 802.11ac wireless. It runs on a 720MHz CPU with 128MB RAM and uses dual-chain 5GHz antennas rated at 7.5dBi gain. The unit accepts passive or standard 802.3at/af PoE input and includes a power supply, PoE injector and mounting kit.

Suits Installers Needing PoE Output

This model fits deployments where ports two to five must power other PoE devices using the same input voltage. The US variant is factory locked to 5170-5250MHz and 5725-5835MHz frequencies and this lock cannot be removed. Buyers needing different regulatory bands or indoor-only hardware should look elsewhere.

Bundled Kit Simplifies Deployment

The included power supply, PoE injector and mounting kit let you power the unit and mount it outdoors without extra purchases. PoE output on four ports reduces the need for separate adapters when connecting compatible cameras or secondary access points.

Questions about this item

Do I need a 48–57 V PoE source to use the PoE output on ports 2–5?

Yes, ports 2–5 can power 802.3af/at mode B devices only when the unit receives 48–57 V input.

Will the integrated 7.5 dBi 5 GHz omni antennas work with my existing 802.11a/n client devices?

The dual-chain radio is backwards compatible with 802.11a/n CPEs, so older 5 GHz clients will connect.

How can I verify the radio is operating on the allowed US frequencies after installation?

The US model is factory locked to 5170–5250 MHz and 5725–5835 MHz; check the active channel in the wireless status page to confirm it falls within those ranges.
