10-Inch 3-Way Ceiling Speaker

The BIC America H-310C is a 10-inch three-way in-ceiling speaker designed for home audio systems that demand extended low-frequency response. It suits installations where a single driver array must cover bass, midrange and treble without separate enclosures. The pivoting tweeter and midrange allow directional aiming toward the listening position.

In-Ceiling Mounting Constraints

Installation requires a ceiling cavity deep enough to accommodate the speaker’s full frame and any rear clearance needed for the pivoting drivers. The supplied white cloth grille and paintable metal grille offer cosmetic flexibility but add minimal depth. Builders without access to the ceiling void from above will find retrofitting difficult.

24 Hz Low-Frequency Extension

The woven fiber woofer is rated to reproduce frequencies down to 24 Hz at +/-3 dB, a figure that determines whether the speaker can deliver convincing bass without a separate subwoofer. Rooms that require authoritative output below this threshold will need additional low-frequency reinforcement.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 10-inch model or is a smaller driver available?

The H-310C uses a single 10-inch woven-fibre woofer; no alternative driver sizes are offered for this model.

What does the 250 W per channel rating mean when the speaker is installed?

It shows the amplifier power the speaker can handle continuously, so a matching amp up to 250 W will drive it cleanly to high output levels.

Does the pivoting tweeter and midrange use a standard mounting interface?

The 1-inch titanium tweeter and 2.5-inch midrange both pivot on the included mounting tabs, letting you aim the sound after the speaker is secured in the ceiling.
