Cat6 250 MHz patch cable

This four-foot yellow patch cable carries a Category 6 rating at 250 MHz for Gigabit Ethernet links. It uses 28 AWG stranded conductors inside a PVC jacket and terminates in RJ-45 male plugs on both ends. The snagless boots protect the latch during frequent moves. It is built for network devices that need a short, flexible link.

28 AWG stranded construction

The thin 28 AWG strands make the cable easy to route through tight cable managers and around patch panels. At 250 MHz the cable handles 1 Gbps traffic with headroom for the full four-foot run. Beyond that length the finer gauge increases attenuation so longer permanent links should use thicker wire. The stranded core is not intended for solid-conductor backbone installations.

Snagless boots and PVC jacket

The snagless moulded boots prevent the latch from catching on adjacent cables during adds or changes. The yellow PVC jacket resists everyday abrasion in office or rack environments. Power-over-Ethernet current passes through the standard RJ-45 pins without extra heating. The cable meets Cat 6 electrical requirements for typical patch-cord distances.
