Space-Saving Patch Cable

This 1 ft Category 6a patch cable uses 28 AWG stranded conductors to deliver a slim profile for dense network environments. Its reduced diameter eases routing in crowded telecom rooms and high-density data centers. Snagless boots protect the RJ-45 connectors during frequent moves, adds and changes. The gray jacket simplifies visual identification in mixed-cable bundles.

Sustained Installation Handling

The 0.161 inch diameter allows more space between patched cables, giving technicians room for fingers during ongoing maintenance. Improved airflow around the thinner cables helps maintain stable operating temperatures in packed racks. Flexible stranded construction withstands repeated bending without fatigue during long-term patching cycles. Unshielded twisted-pair design supports 500 MHz bandwidth for consistent data throughput.

Upgrade From Bulkier Cables

Replacing standard 24 AWG patch cords with this 28 AWG version recovers more than 50 percent of physical cable area in bundles and vertical managers. The space gain eliminates the need for separate cable managers in many layouts. The jump is worthwhile when rack density, airflow constraints or frequent re-patching make bulkier cables a daily hindrance. Buyers who require shielded construction or longer run lengths should look elsewhere.
