Compact Cat 6 patch cable

This 15 ft green Cat 6 patch cable uses 28 AWG conductors rated for 250 MHz bandwidth. The slim unshielded PVC jacket reduces bulk in crowded racks or behind desks. It is built for standard Gigabit Ethernet connections in home or office networks.

Suits tight routing; not for PoE-heavy

The thin profile helps when threading through narrow trunking or packing multiple links into a patch panel. Buyers who need shielded cable for noisy environments or a heavier gauge for long Power over Ethernet runs should look elsewhere.

28 AWG conductor gauge

The 28 AWG conductor size determines both the cable's flexibility and its current-carrying capacity. Verify that this gauge meets the voltage-drop and heating limits of your specific installation before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How do I route the 28 AWG cable through a tight cable tray without snagging the connector?

The snagless boot protects the latch during pulls; feed the boot first and avoid sharp bends tighter than the cable's natural curve.

When should I replace this Cat 6 patch cord?

Replace it if the boot cracks, the latch fails to click, or certification testing shows insertion loss above the 250 MHz Class E limit.

At what point does signal loss become noticeable on a 15 ft run?

At 250 MHz the 28 AWG conductors meet Cat 6 attenuation specs for 15 ft; beyond that frequency margin drops sharply.
