run patch cable

This Cat 6 patch cable measures 1 ft and uses stranded conductors with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends. The green jacket provides quick visual identification in dense patch panels or desk runs. Gold-plated contacts and a snagless boot protect the latch during repeated insertion and removal. Molded strain relief adds durability for daily connect and disconnect cycles.

Molded snagless construction

The molded boot integrates strain relief and a snagless tab that prevents the latch from catching on adjacent cables. Stranded wire construction keeps the cable flexible for tight routing around rack corners or through cable-management arms. Gold plating on the contact pins resists oxidation for reliable signal integrity over the cable's service life. No shielding is present, so the cable relies on Cat 6 twisted-pair geometry for crosstalk performance.

Ideal for colour-coded patching

Suited for installers and network administrators who need short, colour-coded jumpers between switches, panels and wall outlets in structured cabling systems. The 1 ft length limits slack in high-density racks but will not span longer horizontal runs between floors or distant cabinets. Buyers requiring shielded cable, longer reach or plenum-rated jackets should look at other cable types.

Questions about this item

Will the gold-plated RJ-45 contacts on this 1 ft cable need replacement over time?

Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and typically last the cable's lifetime without needing replacement under normal use.

What performance limit appears first when this Cat 6 stranded patch cable runs at full throughput continuously?

The 1 ft length keeps signal loss minimal, so the Cat 6 bandwidth ceiling is reached before any cable-induced degradation occurs.

Does the unshielded stranded construction of this 1 ft patch cable generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day operation?

Passive copper cables produce no noise and negligible heat regardless of shielding or stranding, even with continuous data traffic.
