What this cable is and who needs it

This one-foot Cat 6 patch cable uses stranded conductors with moulded, snagless RJ-45 plugs on both ends. It suits installers and home users who need a short, flexible link for patch panels, switches or wall outlets in white.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive copper cable it generates no heat, makes no noise and draws no power during normal operation. The stranded construction keeps the cable pliable for tight routing without affecting signal integrity.

The spec that decides fit

The cable is rated to the Cat 6 standard and measures exactly one foot (0.3 m) from tip to tip. Buyers who need longer runs or a different colour should select another length.

Questions about this item

How do I install this 1 ft Cat 6 patch cable without damaging the RJ-45 connectors?

Align each RJ-45 male plug with the port, push straight in until the latch clicks, and route the stranded cable so the booted, snagless moulding is not bent sharply.

Will the white jacket or the moulded boots need replacement after repeated unplugging?

The snagless boots protect the latch tabs during frequent moves, and the stranded conductors tolerate flexing; inspect the boots for cracks if the cable is reconnected often.

At what length does signal loss become noticeable on this Cat 6 stranded patch cable?

At 1 ft (0.3 m) the cable is well within the Cat 6 channel limit, so attenuation is negligible for standard Gigabit Ethernet links.
