Space-Saving Cat6 Cable

Black Box IDXETS5026699 is a 28-AWG unshielded PVC patch cable built for high-density Gigabit networking. Its slim 0.161-inch diameter suits crowded telecom rooms and data centres where rack space is at a premium. The stranded construction keeps the cable flexible for frequent moves, adds and changes.

Bandwidth Headroom

Rated at 250 MHz, the cable comfortably handles Gigabit Ethernet traffic in patch-panel runs. The reduced 28-AWG gauge limits maximum channel length compared with standard 24-AWG cable, so longer links may need a thicker alternative. Performance stays solid within the shorter distances typical of dense rack installations.

Thermal And Power Profile

Passive copper construction draws no power and generates no heat of its own. The open weave of slim bundles improves airflow through cabinets, helping adjacent active gear stay cooler. No fan noise or electrical load is introduced, making the cable thermally neutral in normal operation.
