10 Gbps SFP+ Direct Attach Cable

This 50 cm SFP+ direct attach cable delivers a 10 Gbps link for data, storage and high-performance computing interconnects. It is built to the SFP+ MSA and SFF-8431 specifications for reliable operation.

Cisco-compatible 10 Gbps interconnect

The cable is programmed and serialized for full compatibility with Cisco SFP-H10GB-CUxM equipment, so it suits networks built on that platform. Buyers who need longer reach or fibre media should consider alternative cable types.

50 cm reach for rack adjacency

At 50 cm the assembly comfortably handles switch-to-server or switch-to-switch links within the same rack. The fixed length leaves no slack for cross-rack or longer cabinet runs.

Questions about this item

What type of SFP+ ports must my switch or server have for this 10G DAC to function?

The cable requires SFP+ ports that support 10G direct-attach copper and comply with the SFP+ MSA and SFF-8431 standards.

Will this 50cm DAC link correctly to older 1G SFP ports on legacy switches?

No, the cable is built for 10G operation and will not establish a link when inserted into 1G-only SFP ports.

How can I confirm the 50cm cable is recognised and passing traffic after I plug it in?

Check the switch interface status for a 10G link-up, verify zero CRC errors on the port counters, and ensure the SFP+ module inventory shows the programmed vendor data.
