Category 6 channel cable

This 20-foot Category 6 patch cable carries a 550 MHz channel rating and terminates in RJ45 connectors at both ends. The red jacket makes the run easy to identify in a busy rack or wall plate. It is built for structured cabling that requires Cat 6 performance.

Installers who need a verified Cat 6 link

The cable suits technicians who want a factory-terminated, 550 MHz-rated Cat 6 drop in a distinctive colour. Buyers who require a different length, a shielded construction or a higher category rating should look at other options.

550 MHz channel rating

The 550 MHz channel specification is the single figure that determines whether this cable meets the bandwidth needs of the installation. If the design calls for that rating at 20 feet, this part matches the requirement.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the cable is performing at the rated 550 MHz after installation?

Use a Cat6-qualified cable certifier to run a channel test; a pass confirms the link meets the 550 MHz specification.

What comes in the box and is anything else needed to connect two devices?

The package contains the 20 ft Cat6 patch cable with RJ45 connectors on both ends; no additional parts are required for a standard Ethernet link.

Which length should I choose for a typical desktop-to-switch run?

The 20 ft length suits most desk-to-switch or patch-panel connections; measure your exact route and add slack before deciding.
