Secure NIAP 3.0 KVM for sensitive workspaces

This four-port HDMI KVM switch carries NIAP 3.0 certification for government and defence environments. It lets one operator control four isolated computers from a single keyboard, mouse and 4K 60 display. Common Access Card readers are supported for strong authentication. It is not suited for buyers who need multi-monitor switching or video inputs other than HDMI.

Thermal and power profile in normal use

The unit runs passively with no internal fans, so it adds no audible noise to a secure room. Power is drawn from the connected USB ports, keeping the external supply footprint small. Heat output remains low during continuous 4K 60 operation. Builders who need active cooling or redundant power inputs should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install this 4-port HDMI KVM switch and what step do people often miss?

Connect each source to one of the four HDMI and USB ports, then attach the single monitor and shared keyboard and mouse. The step often missed is ensuring every connected computer enumerates the emulated USB keyboard and mouse before switching, otherwise the secure channel will not initialise.

What maintenance or replacement will this NIAP 3.0 certified switch need later?

The switch has no user-serviceable parts or batteries. If a port fails or firmware must be updated for continued NIAP 3.0 compliance, the entire unit must be replaced rather than repaired.
