What this camera is and who it serves

The Bluecctv BL-IR9848VF-W2812 is an analog CCTV camera built for outdoor security monitoring. It captures colour video at 600 TV Lines using a 1/3" Sony Super HAD CCD sensor with 768 by 494 effective pixels. The unit runs on 12V DC at 500mA and is rated waterproof for exterior installation.

Capacity and headroom

Infrared illumination comes from 48 IR LEDs that reach up to 70 feet in total darkness, providing 0 Lux performance. The 2.8 to 12mm vari-focal lens lets you adjust the field of view on site, so the same camera covers wide angles or narrow detail without swapping hardware. Automatic gain, white balance and electronic light control keep exposure balanced across changing conditions.

The specification that decides fit

The camera outputs an analog CVBS signal at 600 TV Lines, so it only works with DVRs or capture cards that accept that standard; it cannot connect to IP networks, PoE switches or modern NVR systems. Buyers who need digital streaming, remote browser access or resolutions above 600 TV Lines should look at IP-based models instead.

Questions about this item

Will this 12V DC camera work with my existing DVR that uses the same voltage?

The camera operates on 12V DC at 500mA, matching standard analog DVR power supplies. Ensure your DVR provides sufficient current for the 48 IR LEDs and vari-focal lens motor.

How can I verify the 600 TVL resolution and 70ft IR range are performing correctly after installation?

Check the DVR live view for a sharp 768x494 pixel image in daylight. At night, confirm clear infrared illumination up to 70 feet with the 48 IR LEDs active and the 2.8-12mm lens adjusted.

Does the box include the 12V DC power adapter and BNC video cable, or must I buy them separately?

The camera includes the waterproof housing with 2.8-12mm vari-focal lens and 48 IR LEDs installed. A 12V DC 500mA power supply and BNC video cable are not included and must be purchased separately.
