Tiny square analog camera delivering 480 TVL colour and 520 TVL monochrome with 3.7 mm pinhole lens, OSD control, D-WDR and 0.0005 lux sensitivity
The Bluecctv BL-MI-480 is a tiny square analogue camera built for discreet security installations. It uses a 1/3 inch Sony Super HAD CCD to deliver 480 TV lines in colour and 520 TV lines in black and white. A 3.7mm pinhole lens provides a narrow field of view suited to hidden monitoring. The unit runs on 12V DC power.
An external on-screen display removes the need for dip-switch configuration and lets you adjust camera functions directly. Digital Wide Dynamic Range compensates for high-contrast scenes to preserve detail in bright and dark areas. 2D-DNR reduces image noise while minimising motion blur artefacts. The sensor reaches a minimum illumination of 0.0005 lux for usable footage in near darkness.
The camera connects to any standard analogue DVR or monitor using a composite video output and a 12V DC supply. Its miniature square form factor allows mounting in tight enclosures, panels or ceiling voids where larger housings cannot fit. No network configuration or IP addressing is required, freeing installers from bandwidth planning and latency concerns.

The camera requires a DC 12V power supply and a BNC video connection to a DVR; the step often missed is adjusting the external OSD settings for Day & Night and D-WDR after power-up to match the scene lighting.
The 1/3" Sony Super HAD CCD sensor and pinhole lens have no user-serviceable parts; long-term upkeep is limited to cleaning the lens glass and verifying the 12V power adapter and BNC cables remain secure and corrosion-free.
At 0.0005 lux the 2D-DNR and D-WDR processing reaches its noise floor, so sustained very-dark scenes will show increased digital noise and reduced 480 TVL colour detail before any hardware overheating occurs.
