Outdoor bullet camera for analogue CCTV

The Eyemax BU-5001 is a weather-resistant bullet camera built for outdoor analogue surveillance systems. It uses a 1/3” Sony colour CCD sensor to deliver 560 TV lines of horizontal resolution. Day & Night operation switches automatically between colour and black-and-white modes. The camera runs on 12 volts DC with a 150mA draw.

Fixed 3.6mm lens and mounting bracket

A 3.6mm fixed lens is factory-installed, giving a standard field of view without adjustment. The package includes a mount bracket so the camera can be secured to walls or soffits straight from the box. No varifocal or wide-angle optics are supplied, and the lens cannot be swapped by the user.

560 TVL resolution defines image detail

The single specification that determines suitability is the 560 TV line rating, which sets the maximum horizontal detail the analogue recorder can capture. Buyers who need higher resolution or IP networking will find this camera does not meet those requirements.

Questions about this item

How often will the fixed 3.6mm lens need cleaning on the BU-5001?

The weather-resistant housing protects the 3.6mm fixed lens, so only occasional exterior cleaning is required when debris builds up on the glass.

What limits continuous recording on this 560TVL camera?

The 1/3" Sony CCD sensor captures at 560 TV lines with 0.4 lux colour and 0.03 lux B/W sensitivity, so available light is the first constraint.

How much heat and power does the 12V bullet camera draw all day?

It runs on 12 volts DC at 150mA, producing minimal heat and operating silently with no moving parts.
