What this camera is and who it serves

The Bluecctv BL-SDI-IR9830 is a 2 megapixel HD-SDI bullet camera built for outdoor surveillance. It captures 2010 (H) x 1092 (V) effective pixels at 30 frames per second using a 1/3" CMOS sensor and a fixed 4mm lens. The unit requires a 12V DC power supply and is rated weatherproof for exterior mounting.

What the fixed lens and IR array change

The 4mm fixed lens sets a constant field of view without manual adjustment after installation. Thirty infrared LEDs provide illumination rated for 0 lux scenes, enabling night-time recording without external lighting. The HD-SDI output transmits uncompressed video over coaxial cable to a compatible recorder or monitor.

What to verify on your system before ordering

Confirm that your recorder or display accepts an HD-SDI signal at 30FPS NTSC. Ensure a 12V DC power source is available at the mounting location with sufficient cable reach. Check that the fixed 4mm focal length matches the desired coverage distance and angle for the intended scene.

Questions about this item

How often should the IR LEDs on the BL-SDI-IR9830 be checked for degradation?

The 30 IR LEDs provide 0 lux illumination; inspect them annually for reduced night-range output and clean the lens to maintain clarity.

What limits continuous recording on the BL-SDI-IR9830?

The fixed 4 mm lens and 2010 x 1092 sensor capture at 30 fps NTSC; storage capacity on the recorder becomes the first practical limit.

How warm does the BL-SDI-IR9830 get during all-day operation on 12 V DC?

The weatherproof bullet housing dissipates heat passively; the 12 V DC supply draws modest current, so the unit stays within normal outdoor operating temperatures.
