Bluecctv BL-SDI-VP8002 analog camera

The Bluecctv BL-SDI-VP8002 is a 2 megapixel HD-SDI camera built for installers who need high-definition video over existing coaxial infrastructure. It delivers 1000 TV lines of resolution through a 4mm fixed lens, making it suited for monitored entry points and perimeter zones where detail matters.

Vandalproof weatherproof housing and IR illumination

A rugged vandalproof and weatherproof enclosure protects the 1/3 inch Panasonic CMOS sensor in exposed locations. Thirty infrared LEDs provide 0 lux visibility at night while the camera draws power from a 12V DC supply, operating silently with no moving parts to maintain.

Upgrades standard-definition analog systems

This unit replaces older analog cameras that top out at lower TV line counts, giving a clear resolution jump without re-cabling when the recorder supports HD-SDI. It is not for sites that require varifocal lenses, IP networking, or power-over-coax delivery.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the BL-SDI-VP8002 and which step is often missed?

Mount the camera on a solid surface using the supplied bracket, run a coaxial cable for the HD-SDI video signal and connect a 12 V DC power supply; the step most installers forget is securing the weatherproof seal on the cable gland before powering up.

What maintenance will the BL-SDI-VP8002 need over time?

Clean the IR window and lens periodically to keep the 30 IR LEDs effective at 0 lux; check the 12 V DC power connections for corrosion and reseal the weatherproof gaskets if they show wear.

What limit appears first during continuous recording with the BL-SDI-VP8002?

The fixed 4 mm lens and 1000 TV line resolution set the detail ceiling, so sustained 30 FPS capture at 2010 × 1092 pixels will hit optical and sensor resolution limits before any thermal or bandwidth bottleneck.
