1080P HD-TVI turret dome camera with 24 IR LEDs, 2.8mm lens, and UTC control for up to 500m coaxial transmission
The Bluecctv CMHT1422W-28 is a 1080P HD-TVI turret dome camera built for outdoor surveillance. It captures video at 25 or 30 frames per second through a fixed 2.8mm lens. Twenty-four infrared LEDs provide night vision. The unit transmits video, audio and PTZ control data over a single coaxial or UTP cable up to 500 metres with no video loss. Installers who need a simple analogue-style setup with HD resolution will find it fits existing cabling.
The camera operates as a passive analogue device with no moving parts, so it generates no audible noise. Power draw is limited to the low voltage required for the sensor and the 24 IR LEDs. Because the specification lists no active cooling or heating elements, thermal output remains minimal during continuous 25/30 fps recording. The housing is rated for outdoor exposure, handling temperature swings without fan assistance.
UTC (Up-the-Coax) lets the recorder send configuration commands back down the same cable that carries the video signal. This removes the need for a separate control wire or a local OSD joystick at the camera. Installers can adjust image settings, switch video formats or control PTZ functions remotely from the DVR. The single-cable approach reduces labour and keeps the wiring identical to a legacy analogue installation.

Mount the camera on a wall or ceiling using the supplied bracket, then connect a single coaxial cable for video, audio and UTC control; the step often missed is setting the DVR to HD-TVI mode so the 1080P signal is recognised.
The 24 IR LEDs are sealed inside the housing; maintenance is limited to cleaning the dome cover periodically so night vision up to the rated distance stays clear.
The HD-TVI signal is specified for 300 to 500 metres over coaxial cable; beyond that range video loss may appear first during sustained use.
