Vandal-resistant eyeball camera with 90° tilt for low ceilings, 480+ TVL colour and 520 TVL monochrome resolution, 4–9 mm varifocal lens and 12 V DC power
The Bluecctv S480VD is an analog CCTV eyeball camera built for high-risk locations. Its polycarbonate dome withstands repeated blows from a 10-pound hammer. A 3-axis construction allows flexible angle adjustment that standard dome cameras cannot match. It suits prisons, banks and military installations needing durable day-and-night surveillance.
The camera runs on DC 12 V at 60 Hz with a 500 mA or higher supply. A 1/3-inch Sony Super HAD CCD sensor delivers 480+ TV lines in colour and 520 TVL in black-and-white. Day-and-night function increases sensitivity after dark, reaching 0 lux at night. Auto white balance, back-light compensation and auto gain control maintain image quality across lighting changes.
A 4 mm to 9 mm DC auto-iris vari-focal lens lets installers set the exact field of view. The 90 degree tilt capability enables straight-forward mounting on low ceilings where ordinary domes fail. The metal case resists weather and vandalism for reliable outdoor or indoor deployment. Professional cabling and a suitable 12 V power source are required to complete the installation.

Use the 3-axis bracket to aim the lens, then set the 90-degree tilt for low ceilings; the step people miss is locking all three axes after final aim.
Clean the polycarbonate dome when dust or spider webs reduce the 480+ TVL picture; check the 12 V 500 mA supply if night video drops out.
The DC auto-iris lens stops compensating once scene brightness exceeds its range, so highlight detail clips before the sensor or housing reaches any thermal limit.
