Plenum-Rated CAT6 for Air-Handling Spaces

This BNCables cable carries a CMP rating, making it suitable for installation in plenum areas above suspended ceilings or below raised floors. The yellow jacket is fire-retardant and meets TIA/EIA 568-C.2 standards. It uses 23 AWG solid copper-clad aluminum conductors with HDPE insulation and an unshielded twisted-pair construction.

1000-Foot Pull Box with Foot Markings

The cable arrives in a 1000 ft easy-pull box designed to reduce tangles during long runs. Sequential foot markings on the jacket help installers track remaining length without separate measuring tools. A centre spline separates the four pairs to resist kinking and limit cross-talk, while RJ45 connectors on both ends terminate the run.

Installers Needing Plenum Compliance and Long Runs

This product suits commercial and residential projects that require plenum-rated cable in continuous 1000 ft lengths for Gigabit or 10-Gigabit Ethernet. Builders who need shielded cable, shorter pre-terminated patch cords, or outdoor-rated jacketing should look at other options.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum bandwidth this 550 MHz cable can carry?

The cable supports up to 550 MHz bandwidth, which covers Fast, Gigabit and 10-Gigabit Ethernet speeds.

How much heat does the plenum jacket add during a full-day pull?

The CMP-rated jacket is fire-retardant for air-handling spaces and does not generate additional heat during installation or operation.

Which connectors must I already have to terminate the 23 AWG solid conductors?

Standard RJ45 plugs designed for 23 AWG solid-core wire are required for both ends.
