High-Speed Cat 8 Cable

This Cat 8 Ethernet cable delivers bandwidth up to 2000MHz and data rates up to 40Gbps. It uses 26AWG conductors with S/FTP shielding to reduce EMI and RFI interference. The cable is built for indoor and outdoor installations, including direct burial. It suits gaming, HD streaming and data-centre links.

Thermals Noise Power

As a passive copper cable it generates no heat and produces no audible noise. It draws no power of its own and adds no load to connected equipment. The shielded design maintains signal integrity without active components. Outdoor-rated PVC resists UV and moisture without degradation.

Shielding And Compatibility

Each twisted pair is wrapped in aluminium foil and an overall braid shields the full bundle, providing F/FTP protection against crosstalk. Shielded RJ45 connectors ensure secure, corrosion-free termination. The cable is backward compatible with Cat 6a, Cat 6, Cat 5e and Cat 5 networks. It connects routers, consoles, PCs, NAS devices and PoE equipment.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Boahcken Cat 8 cable and what step is often missed?

Plug the shielded RJ45 connectors into the RJ45 ports on your router, switch, console or PC until they click; the step people miss is ensuring the cable run does not exceed the 100 m channel limit so the 40 Gbps and 2000 MHz ratings are maintained.

What maintenance or replacement will this Cat 8 cable need later?

The PVC jacket is weatherproof and corrosion resistant for indoor or outdoor burial; inspect the jacket periodically for cuts or UV damage and replace the cable only if the shielding or conductors are physically compromised.

What limit appears first under sustained heavy use of this 26 AWG Cat 8 cable?

The 100 metre maximum channel length for Cat 8 is the first bound; beyond that distance the 40 Gbps and 2000 MHz performance cannot be guaranteed regardless of the 26 AWG conductor thickness.
