Wall baffle speaker with volume control

The Bogen WBS8T725V is an 8-inch cone driver pre-assembled into a simulated walnut wood enclosure with black grille cloth. It mounts on a wall with the face angled downward 13.5 degrees and includes a recessed volume control. The speaker delivers 4 W RMS output and works with both 70 V and 25 V amplifier lines. Mounting hardware is supplied for faster installation.

Suited for distributed audio systems needing local

This unit fits commercial background-music or paging installations where individual zone volume is required. The six power taps from 4 W down to 1/8 W let installers match coverage to room size. Buyers wanting stereo imaging, full-range music reproduction below 50 Hz or above 12 kHz, or wireless connectivity should look at other product types.

Compatibility with 70 V

The transformer provides six selectable taps so the speaker can be wired directly to either 70 V or 25 V amplifier outputs without an external matching transformer. This single specification determines whether the unit integrates with the existing distributed-audio infrastructure.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the WBS8T725V and what step is often missed?

Mount the 9.5" square baffle to the wall using the included hardware; the 13.5-degree downward angle means the speaker must be oriented with the grille cloth facing the listening area, which is the step installers most often reverse.

What maintenance will the 8" cone driver and volume control need over time?

The 8" cone and black cloth grille only need occasional dusting with a soft brush; the recessed volume control is passive and has no batteries or lamps to replace, so no scheduled service is required.

What limit appears first when the speaker runs continuously at the 4-watt tap on a 70V line?

The 4-watt RMS rating is the first limit; sustained full-power operation will reach thermal limits of the 8" driver before the 50 Hz to 12 kHz frequency response or the 70V/25V transformer taps become a constraint.
