What this adapter does

The Boxwave digital coaxial splitter connects one RCA female source to two RCA male outputs. It is built for home-theatre and hi-fi systems that need to share a single S/PDIF signal between two devices. The six-inch cable keeps the layout tidy behind equipment racks.

Signal integrity specs

The conductors use 97 percent pure oxygen-free copper and are double-shielded with copper braiding. Capacitance measures 23 pF per foot and the cable presents a 76 ohm impedance match for digital coaxial signals.

Thermals noise and power

Passive construction means no power draw, no fan noise and no heat generated during normal use. The adapter simply passes the digital audio signal without active circuitry.

Questions about this item

What does the 76 ohm impedance mean when the adapter is connected?

The 76 ohm impedance matches standard digital coaxial specifications to maintain signal integrity and reduce reflections during transmission.

How does the double shielding with copper braiding affect the connection?

Double shielding with copper braiding reduces electromagnetic interference and radio frequency noise for a cleaner digital audio signal.

What physical space does the 6-inch cable need for installation?

The 6-inch length requires minimal space between devices and allows flexible routing in tight cabinets or behind equipment racks.
