3.5mm TRS to USB-C Audio Adapter

The Boxwave SR-C2001 connects a 3.5mm TRS microphone or audio source to USB-C devices such as iPhone 15, Android phones, tablets and computers. It records in mono or stereo and supplies plug-in power for compatible microphones. The gold-plated connector ensures reliable signal transfer. Compact design with a 22.86 cm cable suits mobile recording setups.

Mono and stereo recording with plug-in power

Handles stereo or mono capture from on-camera video microphones, wireless receivers, mixers and audio recorders. Plug-in power extends compatibility to a wide array of microphones that require it. The adapter runs out of headroom when a source demands phantom power or balanced signalling beyond the TRS interface. No external power supply is needed for operation.

Replaces dedicated USB microphones

Upgrades from single-purpose USB mics by letting you use existing 3.5mm TRS gear across modern USB-C hosts. The jump is worth it when you already own quality microphones and need a lightweight, driver-free bridge. Not for users who require XLR inputs, phantom power or multi-channel recording beyond stereo.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.5 mm TRS jack on this adapter power my existing on-camera video microphone?

The adapter provides plug-in power to microphones through the 3.5 mm female jack so it can supply power to compatible on-camera video microphones and other electret condenser mics that expect bias voltage on the ring.

How can I verify the adapter is recording in stereo instead of mono after I plug it into my USB-C device?

Open your recording app and check the input channel meter or settings — stereo recordings will show two active channels or a stereo indicator while mono recordings show a single channel.

Does the package include any extra cables or do I need to buy a separate USB-C extension for my setup?

The box contains only the SR-C2001 adapter with its fixed 9-inch (22.86 cm) cable so no additional cables are included and a USB-C extension would need to be purchased separately if you need more reach.
