A sheet-fed duplex scanner with an 80-page ADF, 80 ipm speed, 600 dpi optical resolution and Ethernet connectivity
The Brother ADS4300N is a sheet-fed desktop scanner built for high-volume document capture. It uses dual CIS sensors to scan both sides of a page in a single pass at up to 40 pages per minute or 80 images per minute. An 80-page automatic document feeder handles paper sizes up to 8.5 by 14 inches and accepts plain paper, receipts, business cards, plastic cards and photos with a carrier sheet. USB 3.0 and Ethernet interfaces provide flexible connectivity for shared workgroup use.
This scanner fits departments that regularly digitise mixed batches of documents and want a compact device with duplex speed and an 80-page feeder. It supports Windows 7 through 10, Windows Server 2012 to 2019 and macOS 10.14 to 12, plus AirPrint and Brother mobile apps for direct mobile capture. Buyers who need flatbed scanning for bound books, fragile originals or oversize formats beyond 8.5 by 14 inches should consider a different form factor.
The hardware captures at a true optical resolution of 600 by 600 dpi, with an interpolated option of 1200 by 1200 dpi for software-enhanced detail. This specification determines the maximum genuine detail the scanner can record without interpolation, so it is the key figure to check against your archival or OCR quality requirements.

Plug the Ethernet cable into the built-in port, then run the Quick Setup Guide to assign a static IP or DHCP reservation; skipping the IP configuration leaves the scanner invisible to other workstations.
The pick roller and separation pad inside the 80-page ADF are rated for high volume; plan to swap them when multi-feed errors increase, typically after several hundred thousand sheets.
The 80-sheet ADF capacity fills first; continuous scanning mode lets you add more pages, but the feeder itself holds only 80 sheets at a time.
