Pocket AM/FM radio with rechargeable battery

The BTECH MPR-AF1 is a compact AM and FM radio that fits in a pocket and runs on a built-in rechargeable battery so no disposable cells are needed. It includes two styles of stereo headphones and a clock, making it suited for listeners who want local stations while walking, commuting or working outdoors.

Headphone-cable antenna for sustained reception

The headphone jack doubles as an external antenna connection, letting the headphone leads serve as a long-wire aerial while still delivering stereo sound. This design maintains stable reception during extended listening sessions without relying on a fixed or telescopic antenna.

Rounded case slides in easily.

The fully rounded case measuring 3.25 in by 1.75 in by .4 in and weighing 1.5 ounces glides into pockets without catching on fabric edges. Large distinct buttons and a keypad-lock function keep the chosen station set while moving, and the LCD shows the tuned frequency for quick adjustments.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the MPR-AF1 produce when running all day on its rechargeable battery?

The radio runs silently and generates no noticeable heat because it has no moving parts and draws very little power from its internal rechargeable cell.

What must I already own to listen to the MPR-AF1 right out of the box?

Nothing extra is required; the package includes two styles of stereo headphones that also serve as the external antenna.

Will the MPR-AF1 interfere with or be affected by older AM/FM gear I keep nearby?

It operates as a standalone receiver with no wireless transmission, so it neither causes nor suffers interference from other radios.
