Six-port USB 3.0 keystone kit

This pack contains six white USB Type A keystone inserts that snap into standard wall plates, patch panels or surface boxes. Each insert provides a female-to-female coupler so two USB cables join to form a single extension run. The modules are intended for installers and homeowners who want clean, through-wall USB connections for PCs, laptops, media players or external drives.

USB 3.0 speed ceiling and cable rules

The inserts support the USB 3.0 specification with a nominal data rate of 5 Gbps and remain backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices. A USB 3.0 cable cannot be plugged into a USB 2.0 port, although a 2.0 cable will operate in a 3.0 port at the lower speed. The design requires roughly 1.0 inch of clearance behind the wall plate for the mated connector, and right-angle adapters are recommended where space is tight.

Replaces loose cables and single-port plates

These inserts replace dangling USB cables or single-port wall plates when a permanent, concealed run is preferred.
