The BUCIER Mini-SAS SFF-8087 to 4×SFF-8482 breakout cable connects a single 36-pin SFF-8087 host port on a RAID controller or motherboard to four SFF-8482 targets. Each target includes a SATA 7-pin data connector and a 15-pin power adapter. The cable is 3.3 ft long and rated for 6 gigabits per second.

Integrated power adapters

Every SFF-8482 branch carries its own SATA 15-pin power connector, so drives receive both data and power from the same assembly. This removes the need for separate power cables from the PSU to each drive. The 30 AWG conductors keep the bundle thin and flexible for routing inside tight chassis.

For direct-attached SAS/SATA drives

This breakout suits builders attaching up to four SAS or SATA hard drives or SSDs directly to an internal SFF-8087 host port. It will not work with SAS drives connected through a backplane using the SFF-8087 connector, nor with configurations that require a middle SAS pin on the target side.
