Conference Room USB Camera

The BG-CAM-USB4K is an 8 MP network camera built for conference rooms and live streaming. It captures 4K ultra-high-definition video at 3840×2160 through a fixed 2.1 mm full glass lens. A 138° wide field of view covers large meeting spaces without distortion. USB 3.0 plug-and-play connectivity works with leading conferencing platforms.

Pan-Tilt Setup and Control

The camera mounts on a desktop or ceiling and moves across ±175° pan and -35° to 55° tilt at up to 80°/s and 60°/s respectively. An IR remote stores 9 presets while RS-232/RS-485 serial control supports 256 presets using VISCA or Pelco protocols. Step-drive motors keep movement smooth and silent during operation. Fixed focus eliminates the need for manual lens adjustment.

Sustained Operation Behaviour

DC 12 V 2 A power input provides stable supply for long meetings or broadcasts. The 1/2.7 inch CMOS sensor maintains consistent colour accuracy and low noise during extended sessions. Silent PTZ mechanics prevent audible distraction when the camera repositions repeatedly. Fixed focus and glass optics retain sharpness without drift over time.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 4K 3840×2160 output is active after plugging the BG-CAM-USB4K into USB 3.0?

Open your conferencing software settings, select the camera, and set the resolution to 3840×2160; the preview should show a crisp 138° wide-angle image with no distortion, confirming the 8.29 MP CMOS sensor is delivering full 4K.

What accessories come in the box and what must I purchase separately for the BG-CAM-USB4K?

The package includes one camera, an IR remote for 9 presets, a DC12V 2A power supply, and a USB 3.0 cable; RS-232 or RS-485 control cables for VISCA/Pelco-D/P integration are not included and must be sourced separately.

Should I choose the fixed 2.1 mm lens model or a varifocal version for a 138° field of view in a conference room?

This model only offers the fixed 2.1 mm full-glass lens with a 138° distortion-free field of view; there is no varifocal option listed, so the fixed lens is the sole choice for that coverage.
