4MP Dome Camera with Motorised Zoom

The Uniview IPC3234SB-ADZK-I0 is a 4 megapixel network dome camera designed for outdoor surveillance. It uses a 1/3 inch progressive scan CMOS sensor and a 2.7 to 13.5 mm motorised zoom lens with automatic focusing. The housing meets IP67 water and dust resistance plus IK10 vandal resistance. Power over Ethernet simplifies installation by carrying data and power over a single RJ45 cable.

Compression and Protocol Limits

Video streams use Ultra 265, H.265, H.264 or MJPEG compression to manage bandwidth and storage. The camera supports a wide range of networking protocols including IPv4, TCP, UDP, DHCP, RTSP, HTTPS and ONVIF for interoperability. Local recording is handled by a micro SD slot that accepts cards up to 256 GB. Alarm and audio interfaces each provide one input and one output for external device integration.

40 Metre IR Range Decides Night Coverage

Smart IR illumination reaches up to 40 metres (131 feet), which sets the practical limit for usable night-time footage. The 120 dB true WDR and Light Hunter technology improve image quality in high-contrast or low-light scenes, but the IR distance remains the hard boundary for dark-area monitoring. Buyers needing coverage beyond that range should consider additional lighting or a different camera.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 2688×1520 or 2560×1440 resolution setting?

Both run at 25 fps; 2688×1520 gives the full 4 MP sensor area while 2560×1440 matches a 16:9 display without cropping.

What does the 120 dB WDR figure mean when the camera faces a bright entrance?

It captures detail in both the sunlit doorway and the darker interior at the same time, preventing blown-out highlights or crushed shadows.

How far does the PoE connection carry power and data over a single cable?

The RJ45 port follows the 100 m Ethernet limit; within that range the camera draws up to 12 V DC via PoE without a separate supply.
