A 14 ft Cat6 UTP patch cable with 28 AWG conductors that are 36 % thinner than standard, improving airflow and bend radius for dense installations
This 14 ft Cat6 UTP cable uses 28 AWG conductors to achieve a 36% diameter reduction over standard Cat6. The slimmer profile improves airflow in high-density datacentre cabinets and eases routing through cable-management panels. A moulded snagless boot protects the latch during installation and adds strain relief. The blue jacket supports colour-coded network layouts.
The cable is built with 28 AWG copper conductors instead of the 22 to 26 AWG range recommended by ANSI/TIA-568-C.2. This thinner wire increases attenuation, so the link budget must accommodate the higher loss. The trade-off is a tighter bend radius and significantly reduced bulk, which is the decisive factor for crowded patch panels and high-port-count switches.
The reduced diameter frees space in vertical cable managers and allows tighter bundles without blocking switch exhaust airflow. Installers gain easier access to adjacent ports because the snagless boot prevents latch damage during frequent moves. Buyers who need full ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 compliance or longer runs without additional signal budget should select a standard-gauge Cat6 cable instead.

No published specifications for this item yet.
It gives you roughly 4.27 metres of reach between a switch and a device, enough for most desk or rack runs without excess slack.
It supports Gigabit Ethernet, but the smaller 28 AWG wires increase attenuation so the ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 recommendation of 22-26 AWG is not met.
The slimmer profile reduces diameter by 36 percent, allowing tighter bends and better airflow through management panels.
