Ultra-slim 10GbE patch cable

This 15 ft Cat6a cable uses a 4.0 mm orange jacket and 28 AWG bare copper conductors to deliver 10 Gbps Ethernet up to 100 m at 500 MHz. It is fully backward compatible with Cat6 and Cat5e equipment, making it a drop-in upgrade for existing RJ45 networks. The slim profile targets high-density patch panels, server racks and data centre cabinets where space and airflow are limited.

Snagless boot eases dense routing

A transparent slim snagless boot protects the locking clip from catching during routing and re-patching in crowded racks. The 4.0 mm outer diameter bends tightly behind dense patch panels without exceeding standard bend radii. Gold-plated 50-micron contacts on the 8P8C plugs resist corrosion and maintain low-resistance connections through repeated mating cycles. No tools or special terminations are required beyond a standard RJ45 port.

Handles 10GBASE-T at full distance

The cable supports 10GBASE-T across the full 100 m Cat6a channel when used with compliant hardware. At 15 ft it leaves ample headroom for patch-panel-to-switch links inside a single rack. The 28 AWG conductors limit power delivery compared with thicker gauges, so high-wattage PoE++ loads may exceed the cable's capacity. It is unshielded UTP, so environments with strong EMI may require shielded alternatives.
