48-inch 14 AWG power cord

This 48-inch NEMA 5-15P to IEC 60320 C13 cord supplies AC power to desktop PCs, monitors, printers and similar equipment with a standard three-pin inlet. The blue SJT jacket covers three grounded copper conductors rated for 15 amps at 125 volts. It is UL listed and CSA certified for North American use. Condition is new.

14 AWG conductor rating

The 14 AWG gauge is the single specification that determines whether this cord can handle the load; it supports up to 15 amps continuous at 125 volts with a 105 °C temperature rating and 300 V insulation. Thinner 16 AWG cords cannot carry the same current safely. Buyers who need a higher ampacity or a different voltage rating must choose another product.

Molded strain-relief connectors

Molded plugs with integral strain relief protect the solder joints from bending fatigue during routine moves or rack adjustments. The fully grounded three-wire design maintains safety continuity from outlet to device. No software, adapters or additional accessories are bundled with this cord.

Questions about this item

What does the 14 AWG rating mean for everyday use?

The 14 AWG conductors handle up to 15 amps at 125 volts, so the cord safely powers typical PCs, monitors and printers without overheating.

How does the NEMA 5-15P to IEC 60320 C13 connection limit what I can plug in?

The NEMA 5-15P plug fits standard North American wall outlets, while the C13 receptacle mates with the three-pin inlet found on most desktop computers, monitors and office equipment.

Will the 48-inch length and molded strain relief fit behind my desk without stressing the connectors?

At 48 inches the cord reaches from a floor outlet to a desk-mounted device, and the molded strain relief on both ends prevents sharp bends that could damage the internal wires.
