It uses a 3-prong NEMA 5-15P plug and an IEC 60320 C15 connector. The cord is rated 14 AWG, 15A / 125V with an SJT jacket rated 105C / 300V. It is UL Listed and CSA certified (file E210037) and RoHS compliant.

Installation and common issues

Plug the 5-15P end into the outlet and the C15 end into the device inlet; both connectors are moulded with strain relief for a secure fit. The 14 AWG gauge handles up to 15A, so it suits servers, PDUs and higher-draw equipment where 16 AWG or 18 AWG cords would be undersized. A loose fit usually means the device inlet is a C13 rather than a C15; the C15 keying prevents insertion into a C13 socket.
