Cable Leader Cat6 25ft Purple

The Cable Leader Cat6 Ethernet Cable is a 25-foot unshielded twisted-pair patch lead built for home, office and gaming networks. It uses 24AWG stranded bare copper conductors and 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts to deliver a reliable Gigabit wired link. The purple jacket and clear snagless boot make port identification simple across routers, switches, consoles and PCs.

Snagless boot and color coding

A transparent snagless boot protects the locking clip from damage and reduces cable tangles during routing. The purple jacket is one of nine colors in the C6117 family, allowing quick visual mapping of network ports. Gold-plated Triplex contacts resist corrosion for long-term signal integrity. Backward compatibility with Cat5e lets the cable drop into existing infrastructure without reconfiguration.

550MHz tested headroom

The cable is tested to 550MHz, well above the 250MHz Cat6 minimum, providing margin for Gigabit Ethernet and 10G over short runs. Four twisted pairs maintain stable, low-latency performance for streaming, video calls and online gaming. It is not suited for permanent outdoor burial or installations requiring shielded cable against heavy EMI. Lengths beyond 25ft or shielded variants are not covered by this listing.

Questions about this item

Will the snagless boot or RJ45 clip need replacement over time?

The clear transparent snagless boot protects the locking clip from snapping during repeated inserts, reducing the chance you will need a new connector.

At what length does the 550 MHz tested bandwidth drop below the Cat6 250 MHz minimum?

The cable is tested to 550 MHz and supports 10 Gbps over short runs; longer runs revert to Gigabit speeds within the Cat6 standard.

Does the 24 AWG stranded copper run warm when carrying 1 Gbps all day?

The 24 AWG stranded bare copper conductors are rated for continuous Gigabit Ethernet traffic with no noticeable heat rise under normal indoor use.
