550MHz tested headroom and 24AWG copper

The cable is tested to 550MHz, well above the 250MHz Cat6 baseline, giving comfortable margin for Gigabit Ethernet and 10G over short runs. Four twisted pairs of 24AWG bare copper conductors maintain signal integrity across the full 50ft length. Gold-plated 50-micron contacts resist corrosion for long-term reliability. Runs that exceed the Cat6 10G distance limit will fall back to Gigabit speeds.

RJ45 Cat6 interface limits

The RJ45 8P8C connectors are backward compatible with Cat5e ports, so the cable works with existing switches, routers, patch panels, PCs and PoE devices. Cat6 shielding is not present, so environments with heavy EMI may require a screened alternative. The non-booted design trades latch protection for density; installers who need strain-relief boots should choose a booted variant.
