This adapter connects a 1.8 inch Micro SATA SSD to a standard SATA interface. The 16-pin female end plugs into the drive while the 22-pin male end links to a USB-SATA or power eSATA cable. It suits technicians recovering data from legacy 1.8 inch drives.

Limited to SATA 22-pin host connectors

The 22-pin male side carries 15 pins for power and 7 pins for data in a single plug. It only fits host cables or ports wired to that exact layout. Drives or enclosures using separate power and data connectors cannot attach directly without an additional cable.
