This 35-foot Cat5e patch cable connects network devices with RJ45 male connectors on each end. It supports voice, data and video distribution for bandwidth-intensive applications up to 350 MHz. Cat5e standard limits

The Cat5e rating guarantees performance up to 100 MHz under TIA/EIA standards, while this cable is tested to 350 MHz for extra margin. Maximum segment length for gigabit Ethernet remains 100 metres, so the 10.66-metre length stays well within that limit. Unshielded construction means it is best used away from strong electromagnetic interference sources.

Upgrading from older cables

This cable replaces Cat5 or lower-grade patch leads that cannot reliably carry gigabit speeds. The bonded-pair design and reduced near-end crosstalk make the jump worthwhile when moving from 100 Mbps links to 1 Gbps or when existing cables show intermittent errors. It does not add shielding, so environments that require screened twisted pair will need a different product.
