Cat6 shielded patch cable for wired networks

This 20 ft Cat6 cable uses RJ45 connectors on both ends to link routers, switches or wall ports in a home or office network. Shielded twisted-pair construction reduces electromagnetic interference, while the purple jacket makes the run easy to identify among other cables. It is intended for anyone who needs a reliable Gigabit Ethernet link up to the rated distance.

Snagless boots and stranded conductors simplify

Molded snagless boots protect the locking tabs from catching when the cable is pulled through cable trays, conduit or tight cabinet gaps. Stranded copper conductors keep the cable flexible for routing around corners without kinking. The shielded design requires a grounded patch panel or switch port to maintain its noise-rejection benefit; otherwise it behaves as an unshielded run.

Consistent throughput over long transfers

The Cat6 rating supports sustained Gigabit speeds across the full 20 ft length without the signal degradation that can appear on longer or lower-category cables. Shielding maintains signal integrity during continuous heavy traffic such as large file copies or streaming backups. Performance will drop if the cable is sharply bent beyond its minimum bend radius or if connectors are not fully seated.
