A 6-inch Cat6 patch cable with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for short network links

  • Product typeConsumer Electronics
  • Short 6-inch patch cable keeps rack wiring tidy

  • Snagless boot protects the latch during frequent changes
  • Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts resist corrosion for lasting signal
  • RoHS compliant build meets environmental standards

length Cat6 patch cable

This six-inch Category 6 patch cable is built for tight spaces inside racks, wall plates or desktop setups where longer runs would create slack. It targets installers and hobbyists who need a certified Gigabit link between two RJ-45 ports without excess cable management.

Snagless boots and gold-plated contacts

The moulded snagless boots protect the locking tabs from catching during routing or removal, while gold-plated contacts resist oxidation for consistent conductivity. RoHS compliance confirms the materials meet restricted-substance requirements for commercial and residential installations.

Handles 10 Gbps over very short runs

At this length the cable comfortably supports 10 Gbps Ethernet with ample margin for alien crosstalk. It is not suited for runs between rooms or floors where distance exceeds the Category 6 channel limit.

Questions about this item

Will the RJ-45 connectors or gold-plated contacts need replacement over time?

The gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and the snagless boot protects the latch, so the connectors rarely need replacement under normal use.

What length limit affects 10 Gbps performance on this Cat6 cable?

At 6 inches the cable is far below the Cat6 channel limit, so length will not restrict 10 Gbps throughput.

Does the 6-inch UTP patch cable generate noticeable heat or draw extra power during all-day use?

Passive copper patch cables add no measurable heat or power draw regardless of how long they stay connected.
