Cat6 patch cable for everyday networking

This 20 ft purple Cat6 cable connects computers, routers, switches or patch panels using RJ-45 connectors on each end. The snagless boot protects the locking tab during frequent insertions and removals. It supports voice, data and video distribution in home or office LANs.

Unshielded twisted-pair design fits standard ports

The UTP construction slides into any RJ-45 jack without requiring grounded shielded ports or special tooling. At 20 ft it reaches across a room or rack while leaving slack for cable management. No external power or configuration is needed.

Purple jacket aids visual identification

The distinct colour helps technicians trace this link among many cables in a dense patch panel or floor box. Snagless moulding reduces broken tabs that cause intermittent connections. No software or drivers are bundled with the cable.

Questions about this item

Will the 20 ft length cause signal loss at Cat6 speeds?

At 20 ft (6.09 m) the cable is well within the distance where Cat6 UTP maintains its rated performance, so signal loss is not a practical concern.

Does the snagless boot design add bulk that traps heat around the RJ-45 connectors?

The snagless boots are low-profile plastic mouldings that do not restrict airflow around the connectors, so no measurable heat build-up occurs.

Must my router or switch have purple ports for this cable to work?

No, the purple colour is only the jacket; the RJ-45 male connectors are standard and work with any RJ-45 female port on routers, switches, modems or patch panels.
